Aldrich Berrios `Coach Al`

Born and raised in Vancouver, BC, Aldrich attended Notre Dame Regional Secondary School.  Aldrich was a multi sport athlete (Basketball, Football, Track and Field) that excelled on the court and field as well as the classroom.  Aldrich was offered multiple scholarship opportunities in Football and Basketball, but his heart was on the court.  He made his decision to attend UBC-Okanagan where he played 5 years with the Heat and broke the record for most points, most 3 pointers made, most assists, most steals, and most minutes played at the university.  He is also 28th all-time in league scoring, 2nd all-time in 3 pointers made, and only 1 out of 12 players to have recorded a triple double in the Canada West.  During his time at UBCO Aldrich played for coach Boreham and the Okanagan Sun for 1 season while he was also playing basketball.  He recorded 6 interceptions, returning one for a touchdown, in 6 games and broke the Sun single-game record for most interceptions in a game with 4.  Al has been coaching and training youth athletes for over 10 years.  In 2021 Coach Al coached his first season with the Okanagan Sun as Receivers coach and has also done some coaching development with JC Boice.

Coach Al is the Academy Director for Player Development.
